Update 2.1 – private lobbies in multiplayer

Update 2.1 is addressed mostly for PCVR players, however it brings a new feature and some bug fixes to all platforms.

We are introducing private lobbies in multiplayer. You can create a password protected room where you can invite your friends and play PvP or Co-op together. After the match is finished, you’ll end up in the same lobby together, so you play another round or even change the mode. If you are looking for partners for multiplayer we are inviting you to our Discord.

Changelog

  • Private multiplayer lobbies.
  • Co-op gunner’s seat issue fixed.
  • Junkers D.II stalling issue fixed.
  • Rewards  for Co-op missions increased.
  • HOTAS and gamepads support [PCVR only].
  • Further controllers compatibility improvements (WMR) [PCVR only].

What’s next?

We are working on a simple and intuitive mission editor that allows you to create Co-op raids and share them with the community.

Another important task is polishing the UI and enhancing UX. After those changes the game should be more intuitive and simpler to navigate on.

Im one of the people who got I steam key before I could fly in steam mu PC died and Ill have to wait for to play it on the PC :( wish I had got the app lab key like other people.

I have to say thou Im glad I invested in this game in January I love it, I like the free flight mode but wish I could fly between bases.

love the game I always look forward to the updaes and thank you to all the team for creating a brilliant game i beleive it should be on the main Oculus store.

I never could choose between pc and app lab, I got a steam key but it wasn't what I wanted

Me too. I should have taken the app lab.

looks like the app key was the wrong choice...

Why? Can we help you?

No, I just picked the free AppLab's key; which in hindsight was a bad idea as support is going to improve on PCVR while I will be stuck on the Oculus platform; The only reason I took the AppLab was to get rid of having to go to "insecure apps" . I'm perfectly happy with the game, and its #1 on the Quest2 for me. Keep up the good work ;-)

We'll be supporting all platforms. But I can make a little exception and provide you with Steam key too. Please contact me at office@homenetgames.com from the email you made a purchase on itch.io.

May just have to buy the PC version to try out  hotas support.  However your use of the touch controlers on the Quest is excellent!!! Played Ultrawings on the Quest and OMG could that game benefit from your control mechanic!!! Keep up the development guys. Great game!

> HOTAS and gamepads support [PCVR only].

Holy moly that was fast thanks!

The SE5 ailerons still move backwards on 2.1.  This is like a 5 minute fix.  Please get it in there before the next update....

I like the improved textures, but it's causing frame drops on my Quest 2.  I'd rather smooth flight than detailed textures.

Also, please put the version numbers on the downloads. It's really hard to tell which is the new one.

Hi.  On the frame drops, have you done a cold boot?  A lot of people reported tracking issues with v26 of the quest headset that has led to them having frame drops where they had none before.  Weirdly it doesn't seem to affect everyone.  Anyway might not be related to this but thought I'd ask.

This is great! You are really making this game into something special for a lot of people. Thank you!
